The Great Marriage Experience

2:30PM - 4:30PM

Marriage Ministry was birthed out of an intense desire to see the family unit become strengthened in every area, with the core being marriage. Just like with your own body, when your core is strong your whole body benefits. The Great Marriage Experience is designed to bring health, hope, and practical insights and skills to couples of every age, no matter how long they have been married. As couples walk through this experience with each other; an intimacy, vulnerability, and openness is established and transformation will happen! This nine-week course is intended not only to bring about this transformation to your marriage but will also cultivate and build a marriage community.

As the Scripture says, marriage is the only relationship that Christ likens to Himself and the Church and it is our desire to see marriages molded into this image. As this happens, expect to see joy, peace, life, and love infused into your family and into you!

3 John 1:2
"Beloved friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and that you continually enjoy good health, just as your soul is prospering."

David and Monique cannot seem to escape “Victory”! This couple met over 22 years ago at Victory World Church in Norcross, Georgia, and have continuously been involved in Family and Children’s Ministries. David is a firm believer that if you are seeking something from God, sow into it. As singles, they ministered in several ministries including Children’s Church. Their willingness to serve was a catalyst for God “putting the two of them together”. Now, over 20 years of marriage and 4 kids later (ranging from 18 to 3 years old), David and Monique share a passion for the ‘Family’, the Kingdom Family. It is not uncommon to find this couple and their precious family sharing the goodness of God around a home cooked meal. They thoroughly enjoy opening their home and hearts to a variety of people, including singles, couples, and families alike.

Hi! We are Christopher and Briana Niakian! We met here at Victory in 2014 and Christopher just couldn’t resist these big brown curls and I couldn’t resist those sweet brown eyes and sick dreads, so we were married! We’ve been married for three glorious years! Christopher was born and raised in League City and currently operates his family’s business, a Dairy Queen in Baytown. I’m a Georgia peach and moved to Texas when I was thirteen and am currently serving on staff here at Victory as Pastors Armand & Wendy’s executive assistant. Our lives have been wildly enriched since coming to Victory…from finding one another, to being blessed with a wonderful tribe, the honor and opportunity to serve, and above all...being filled and falling in love with Holy Spirit. Christopher loves listening to podcasts & music, longboarding, and playing video games. I love to shop, shop, and shop some more! Ultimately, we love laughs, making memories, and a good time. Our heart is to share these experiences and good times with one another and others! We’ve been honored to serve in various ministries here at VCC and can’t wait to be a part of The Great Marriage Experience.

Adrian and Stephanie Garza have been married for two years and have a beautiful set of nine-month-old twins, Emma and Judah. Adrian and Stephanie both have active careers in management and spend their weekends with family and friends. Stephanie and Adrian met at Victory 4 years ago and have served in multiple ministries at VCC throughout the years. Stephanie loves to work out, enjoy the outdoors, and go shopping. Adrian also loves to work out, start new home projects, and keep Stephanie from shopping. They both believe that Proverbs 27:17 references the importance of community and how it impacts our spiritual walk with Jesus. You won't find a weekend where they aren't inviting friends over for dinner and fun. They love to serve and commit time to relationship building, both in home and the community.

We met at Victory Christian Center in 2001 and married that December. We are a blended family with 3 children – Chris (23), Luke (14) and Kynsie (12). Roland has been with the Houston Fire Department for 26 years and is a Captain at station 66. I work as the Admissions Director at Cypress Christian School where their children attend. We love spending time together as a family. We have a crazy life that works around Luke and Kynsie’s busy schedules and want to be more intentional about carving out time for each other. We feel marriage is a ministry in itself – one to another as it reflects Jesus’ love for his bride. Our heart’s desire is to raise our children for the Lord, love each other well and grow old together!

Greetings from Michael and Pam Postell! We have been married for forty years and have three children and twelve grandchildren. We have been members of VCC since 2016. Since then, we have become leaders with the Marriage Ministry, Directors of the Greeting Department, Prayer Ministry team, students of VSSM, and working in other ministries as well. It is our desire to see marriages so strong that nothing or no one can separate them. We believe that a strong foundation in the Word of God and a willing heart to apply the principles to our lives is the key to a successful marriage. We have found that you must die daily to live as God would have you to live. We desire to see couples loving, respecting, communicating and being in one accord. We believe in showing other couples who are struggling a glimpse of what their marriage can become.

Hey there!  We are Aletha and Conrad Cardin. We moved to Houston nearly 35 years ago so we came to Texas as quickly as we could. We’ve been at Victory about three years.
We are a blended family with four children, 3 girls and 1 boy. All are married and have blessed us with 11 grandchildren ranging in age from 3 years to 16 years. A grandson will arrive in April to make an even dozen!
Both of us are semi-retired. Conrad retired from Klein ISD transportation in December 2018 and now drives only for field trips. Aletha, who taught elementary music in Cy-Fair ISD, teaches voice and piano for a local music studio.
The Great Marriage Experience is special to us because years ago we almost lost our marriage. The unending support of our church family was invaluable to us. As we approach our 39th anniversary this year we are thankful for the opportunity to encourage couples as they acquire skills that will make their marriage stronger than ever.

After a brief introduction in 1999 through a mutual friend, Julian and Susie didn’t begin their world wind romance until 2004. Giving a new meaning to the phrase “with a little help from my friend”, they carried on an 8 hr long telephone conversation which led to official dating. Engaged in 2007, married in 2008; this power couple has been married for 11 years and have 2 beautiful children and one fur baby. Excited to see the Lord do His work in hearts and lives, restoring marriages, creating vision and truly making all things new is their passion. They have learned the importance of having an intentional marriage and strong community to help and hold them accountable. Members of VCC since 2012 they co-lead Marriage Ministry, Children’s Ministry leader (Susie) and Father’s Eyes (Julian).
